We’re designing and hanging banners at the gig on Saturday. Pull through and grab a paintbrush. Here’s a sample of the balcony backdrop.

Producers! Halo Atiyyah [v2.7] is now up for grabs. It’s your shot at remixing a pretty cool dubstep release, as featured on Listenup.za.net and Version 2.7 of Pravda23‘s The Kuleshov Effect. Download the separate stems below. Thought I’d let you get creative and left out ALL the beats. Do as you will, make me smile. Maybe even get released on the next version…

Pravda23 was recently featured alongside other ‘underground famous’ bands The Beams and The Sleepers on Ancient Shark of Despair. Also at the party is Gav, who is fantastic, and whose guitar I still play after 5 years of permanent borrowing. We helped out with a track called Landlord (listen below). Sharks are people too. Get to know the ASoD here.

Most certainly the most groovy number we’ve ever come up with. Looking forward to my beachside residency one of these days…
If you’re missing the gigs, come and watch us every Saturday in Cape Town!
ListenUp are the wide-awake content producers of SA electronic music. And yeah, they’ve featured us before.
Now you can download version 3.0 of the slick, sparse housey Throatface, or come and experience the stage-blurring live performances every Saturday between now and the end of October at Pickwicks in Long Street. Update, people.
Meet Johnny B (violin, keyboard, djembe), Knucklez (beats, vinyl, didge) and James (guitars). Check us out at one of our upcoming shows.
