“I think that taking away the right of owners to give permission, and expecting each piece of public art to go through council for permission is a form of censorship and in reality it will stifle creative growth, deter any up and coming talented artists and real creative works that would have been done, and probably just re-enforce the amount of vandalism. ”

I fired myself today. It was easy! Well, to be honest, it was tough on the emotions, but who needs emotions when you have a plug-in in your head to help you forget your probs, huh [here's how it works, remember?!] So, how does one fire oneself, you ask?

1> Admit to yourself that you’re completely inadequate for the job you’re doing, and that you didn’t want to do it anyway, even if this is not true.

2> Confess everything upfront and honestly to the person who would normally fire you. If this authority figure is not in the position to fire you for whatever reason, you’ll have to take care of it yourself.

3> If your boss is in the position to fire you, you have to BEAT HIM OR HER TO IT!

Sometimes I feel like I can’t change the past, even though I’m living in the past, from the point of view of the future me. It’s like 12 Monkeys, where he has to carry on explaining that he’s merely ‘gathering information’ for the researchers of the future. So, straight from the CRAZY voice in my head called pravda23 [how it works], that’s exactly what these jpegs are. Nothing glamorous, hilarious or spectacular. Just a couple of shots worth taking from around my home town, Cape Town, South Africa, mostly related to controversy, street art and the type of stuff you shoot on your phone to kill time in the shopping line.

Democratically described as “a vote for Earth,” EarthHour is an initiative happening next Saturday in aid of global awareness of climate change. Participants are encouraged to switch off their lights for one hour from 8.30pm – 9.30pm. The burgeoning criminal community of South Africa welcomes the EarthHour initiative with open arms and open fire.
